12 Days of Fitness Day #7: Burpees
On the seventh day of Fitness
My my friend Daphne gave to me:
15 Burpees
10 Plank Jacks
10 Jump Lunges
5 triceps pushups
5 dive-bomber pushups
2 minutes of wall squats
And one minute planking by the tree
Now don’t you agree? Everyone loves a good set of burpees :-)
Please make sure that you understand how to do this exercise by watching the videos below. Take your time with this exercise until you are comfortable doing it. You can make this exercise very dynamic or you can slow it down and lower the intensity. Good form will always take precedence over speed or number of reps. You’ll be doing burpees for several more days so you have an opportunity to improve your form and stamina. One of the links below provides some examples of burpee alternatives. Rather than omit this exercise please give one of the lower impact options a try. As always, make sure that you have clearance from your care provider to engage in vigorous exercise and please warm up first!!
