Podcast Favorites: The Exam Room Podcast

I will be honest. It was not so long ago that the concept of a podcast was foreign to me. Now every time I get in the car I am excited to listen to some of my favorite podcasts as I drive around Kansas City. Yes, geekdom reigns in my car. I will provide you with a list of some of my favorites, but I wanted to highlight the Exam Room Podcast this week. This is one of my favorites. Chuck Carroll, "The Weight Loss Champion", is a wonderful

example of the benefits of how lifestyle change can radically impact your health, wellness and possibly your longevity. He strives to share his passion along with that of his guests to educate and motivate others to take charge of their health.

This morning on my drive to the gym, to the grocery store and back home I listened to the latest podcast on "Why Your Gut and Brain Can't Stop Talking to Each Other". I have become fascinated with the gut microbiome and the gut-brain axis. If this sounds foreign to you, I would encourage you to listen to this and to several other podcasts on gut bacteria from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). Now it's back to work, but I can't wait to head out tomorrow morning so I can tune in to another great learning session.

Enjoy!!
