The Power of Intention: Mindset Monday
Every Sunday after I write my exercise program for the week (this is my top priority!!) I sit down and draft my power list. My power list includes the following:
Tasks I Must Do
Tasks I Need to Do
Tasks I Want to Do
Tasks/Activities I Will Squeeze in if I have time
Every Sunday night and then Monday morning (and every day during the week) I look at the list. I take a deep breath and say to myself “you can do this”.
Sometimes this involves choosing my hard because inevitably, something will come up during the week that will take priority.
I try to remember that every day I am making meaningful progress. I am making a positive impact on the day. I am becoming 1% better than I was yesterday.
Somedays, it’s hard.
On those days I stop myself and take a few deep breaths. I may turn on a short Headspace meditation so that I can contemplate and restore the power of my intention. This cycle may be repeated several times during the day and the week, but it always comes back to finding ways to navigate whatever real or perceived barriers arise and get back to work. My list will not be complete at the end of the day, but I will give myself a “High Five” for choosing to overcome the challenges and make a positive impact.

I wanted to share this Daily Motivation from Ralph Marston as part of this week’s Mindset Monday. This is a good reminder that what we undertake and our sense of experience and purpose in all we do is a matter of mindset and perspective.
This is a bit of a ramble for a Monday morning, but that is how most of my Monday's roll. What is the power of your intention for this week?
Be well,
Daphne
